Uganda’s First Electrical Automobile Coaching Program Launched At Makerere College

Kampala, Uganda — Makerere College, in collaboration with Kiira Motors Company and the United Nations Growth Programme (UNDP), has launched an modern skilling program in Kampala, Uganda, targeted on electrical mobility and related applied sciences.

This system, housed on the Makerere College Innovation Pod (Mak-UniPod), goals to supply specialised coaching to 25 chosen college students in electrical automobile applied sciences, engineering design, and associated fields.

The initiative is designed to empower youth by tapping into their modern and entrepreneurial spirit, addressing youth unemployment, and selling impact-driven entrepreneurship. It aligns with world local weather agreements and helps Sustainable Growth Objectives (SDGs) 7, 8, 9, and 13.

In the course of the launch, Makerere College tutorial registrar, Prof. Buyinza Mukadasi.expressed pleasure in regards to the partnership with UNDP and KMC, emphasising that the Mak-UniPod is the place analysis meets actuality.
