It’s been a very long time since I’ve reviewed something made by Midnight Works and their associated companies. And for good reason, they’re scammers. They make games that are half-assed garbage meant to bilk the clueless out of their money. But I decided to bite on MFC – Midnight Fight Club for some reason. This presents itself as a UFC-like MMA Game. And… its garbage. As is becoming customary with the worst of the worst, I must show you video to prove just how bad it is.
As you can see above, MFC is terrible. The graphics are ok for a title like this, but the game play and sound are horrendous. You have punch and kick and dodge. And that is it. There is no ground game here, despite presenting itself as an MMA game. You fight in minute long rounds… until you KO an opponent. However, what constitutes a KO seems to be random. Just fight until it says KO, and that’s the game. There is a career mode spanning several divisions with a surprising number of arenas, and there are a lot of unlockable fighters. But, MFC is not fun or exciting, so why subject yourself to this?
MFC sucks, pure and simple. There could have been something passable with some polish and TLC, but the devs don’t care. This is not about making good games, its about making money by putting the least amount of effort into a game as possible. If the devs don’t care, why should I? The game gets a Garbage with a two back-end score.
Overall: MFC – Midnight Fight Club is a scam MMA game meant to make you think of UFC. It is just plan bad, even though there was some promise.
